Pet Loss Grief Support Group – DORY DZINSKI, LPC
Our pets are our hearts. They are an indelible part of the fabric of our lives. When they leave us, the hole is nearly unbearable. However, the loss of a companion animal is a marginalized loss. Unless one has been lucky enough to experience the love of an animal, it is difficult to understand this loss. We may hear comments and questions that don’t match our feelings and we cannot find many places that will hold space for our pain. Come be with others who have sustained the loss of a beloved companion. 2017 dates: third Tuesday of the month – July 18, August 15, September 19, October 17, November 21, December 19. Held at 395 West Avon Road. Contact Dory for questions and registration: (860) 693-2840 or dorydzinski@comcast.net
Time: 6:30 to 8 p.m.   Cost: Free

MattinglyWEST HARTFORD – Sanctuary for Celestial Empowerment
Working with the Rising Spiritually-Emergent Population – CELESTE MATTINGLY, LCSW & DORY DZINSKI, LPC
This program has been approved for 7.5 Continuing Education Credit Hours by NASW/CT and meets the continuing education criteria for Social Work, LPCs, and LMFTs Licensure renewal. Over the past-century the helping professions including Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, and Psychotherapy have been sorely devoid of Spiritual knowledge and application. This remains the case, in-spite-of an explosive interest and need by individuals and cultures world-wide. This uptick in interest is evidenced by the rising popularity of Yoga, meditation, Shamanism, Energy Medicine, higher consciousness, mediumship, paranormal and anomalous experiences, UFO-logy, and the resurgence of psychedelic use for mental health. In this Workshop we provide an in-depth review of the meaning of Spiritual Emergence and the application of Spiritual practices as identified by the Integrative, Multi-Dimensional, Transpersonal, Humanistic, psychedelic trends for practitioners. We will provide experiential exercises, practical suggestions, concrete examples and case studies for determining diagnosis. Held at 10 Grassmere Ave., Suite #300 2nd Floor. Ample parking, elevator and handicap accessible entrance next to the loading dock. Registration: online at http://ow.ly/UqOL30blkik; credit card payments accepted over the phone, or mail check to: Celeste E. Mattingly, LCSW, 10 Grassmere Avenue, Suite #300, West Hartford, CT  06110 or (860) 586-8700 office, (860) 798-6176 cell,  (860) 236-1909 fax.
